Columbia County authorities say they responded Sunday night to this house, 8114 Umbrella Circle in Martinez, for a double shooting.
Deputies located a male, Dekia Ruffin, and female, Hiawatha Adams, in a bedroom deceased. Early indication are that it’s a murder suicide, sheriff’s Maj. Steve Morris said.
The two are boyfriend and girlfriend who both reside at this residence. It appears Ruffin shot Adams before turning the gun on himself, according to authorities.
